You could modify the list of web search engine according to your requirement. The way is:

1. Open "{Lingoes Installation Folder}\app_user\webe\webengine.xml" in Notepad.
    
2. Format of configuration file base on XML, Each element of <engine> is only for one search engine code, <cata> is engine team, <lang> means different language of search engine team. For example:
   
   Some code of frequently-used search engine has been list in the following table, you can copy them and paste into the configuration file. If there's not the codes you need, you can code them yourself.

   code attribute of <lang> element is language of search engine, e.g. en is English, fr-FR is French(France), de-DE is German(Germany), zh-CN is Simplified Chinese, zh-TW is Traditional Chinese, ja is Japanese, ko-KR is Korean(ROK), and so on. Please refer to ISO Language Code Table.
    
3. The way is:
   
   First, find out <lang> element of specially appointed language, if no, add a new one:

   Then add a item <engine> in the category <cata>, each <engine> refers to one search engine.
    
4. The following table list configuration code of some common used engine, you could copy them into configuration file. You could write a new one if it isn't in the table.
   
   The format of calling code is:
   <engine id="engineID" name="engineName" url="searchURL" codepage="CharacterSetCodePage" />
    
   • id attribute is filled in exclusive ID for differing from other engine, the value is custom, recommend domain name of engine as the value.
   • name attribute is filled in engine name, the value is custom and it will appear in Lingoes.
   • url attribute is filled in calling code of search engine, there are 2 variable, [$key] refer to keyword; [$langcode] refer to language code of current user interface.
   • codepage attribute is filled in Character Set Code of search engine, the value is Windows code page defined by Microsoft.
     The attribute is optional. Default value is UTF-8 code.
     If the code isn't UTF-8, please fill in correct value according to CodePage Table, for example:
         The codepage of Western Europe Character Latin 1 is 1252
         The codepage of Simplified Chinese GB2312 or GBK is 936
         The codepage of traditional Chinese BIG5 is 950
         The codepage of Japanese Shift-JIS is 932
      
5. After finish edition of configuration file and save it, then run Lingoes again, you would enjoy your new web search engine list in Lingoes.
